Nasal Instillation (Nasya) and its Neurological, Psychological and Anti-aging effects

Nasal Instillation or “Nasya”, is one of the procedures mentioned in Ayurveda’s specialty cleansing processes called “Pancha-Karma”. It is mainly used for the purpose of cleansing the area located above the clavicle (Head region). However, there are several purposes for which this procedure is used including:
-Rejuvenation and Nourishment (Brimhana)
-Palliation (samana), etc.
Nasya is also divided into 2 types according to their dosage:
-Marsha (The larger dose which is used for the purposes listed above)
-Pratimarsha (The smaller dose, for daily use and maintenance of health)
Mode of action
